Bursary applications no longer possible

Bursary applications are no longer be accepted since the application deadline of December 31, 2012, has expired. The candidates of previously submitted bursary applications have been informed by email about the outcome of their application by January 15, 2013.

Bursaries for PhD students

About 20 bursaries of € 600 were offered by the COST office to promote attendance of the school by PhD students working in Europe. This bursary represents a flat-fee contribution towards travel and local expenses. To qualify, one had to satisfy the following:

• Be enrolled as a PhD student in a PhD-granting institution and work towards your degree while the school is taking place.
• Your PhD-granting institution must be in a European country participating in the COST Action CM1101. While most European countries do participate, it was necessary to check whether the country of your institution appears on the following list.

Please, do not apply if you are not firmly committed to attend the school when successful with your application. If you do not attend the school, you will not receive your bursary. However, you are likely block someone else from receiving the bursary since a granted bursary is not transferrable. Thanks for being considerate.
